diarrhea begins

hello everybody and myself, diarrhea begins. sometimes i think of things that i want to share and i hate spamming selective people, so here is the common and popular solution – post it and don’t bother anybody. here i go.

i was walking around union sq the other day (such a rare event these days) and i noticed there are more simple places to eat. the food choices that are fast, good, and not expensive used to be very limited over there. we went to le pain quotidian when we escaped few months ago, and it was really nice. they did not exist before, and now they seem to have so many shops. and now i can only go there for special occasions. but you (anyone here?) can go there – lepainquotidien.com – lots of locations, i only went to broadway & 11st.

another useful info from the same one day escape subway trip is this guy erikbergstrom.com, he sells his stuff at union square, and i really liked it.

wow, i went out for one day and i found at least two things to share, you all go to the city daily, and i don’t see you posting all the crap you notice, what’s a matter with me?

now a little bit of a braintrip - thinking of making this blog - what can i write about? what can inspire me? only the same, what has always been my main interest – guessing or thinking about the inner worlds of others, but mainly myself. overanalyzing myself (and some very selective others) used to be such a constant activity, i still do it but so not on that intense level. do i miss it? no way. so why am i going to blog here? i am not sure.

  1. I am SOOO happy you got a blog. First of all, you really do need a hobby =P

Second, your reading choices alone make me curious about what goes on in your head, so this is going to be a fun read.

Third, I was just something that I need something wonderfully random to peruse during work, and this is great! So yay and enjoy posting. Am I ever allowed to reference this in my blog or would you prefer complete and total anonymity?

As for your actual post, I think a lot of us who go to the city every day just get so desentitized to everything that we don't notice a lot. Although I try to...hence my blog (though I admit it tends to focus on movies and tv and books...but in the days when I used to have a life separate from doctors and illness, I did post about the random things I encountered in the city).

    Happy Posting!

  2. Welcome to the blogosphere!

blog, verb To noisily and simultaneously void one's spleen, stomach, bladder and bowels.

On a serious, or not so serious note, I used to love talking to you when I was growing up and over the past few years, you've bottled up more and we speak and see each other less, so it's nice to see what you're thinking, reading, etc. I think it's good for everyone to write, because it puts things in perspective, if only for yourself.

Regarding your 1st post, I accidentally stumbled upon lepainquotidien.com when I was in LA and I loooooooved it. I have been meaning to go in NY ever since May, but as always, have had no time to do so. It goes hand in hand with what you're saying, because when you're a tourist in an unfamiliar city in a week, you will see more than a person that's lived there their entire life. When you live somewhere, or pass it by everyday, there's always tomorrow. I'm proud to say that being a New Yorker, I've visited most landmarks (including observation deck of WTC). I doubt that many New Yorkers can say the same.

    Karoche, welcome! Check out sitemeter.com . . . tracks who's reading your blog :-)

  5. well, if you want to be gross...

    donkey=ass=fits diarrhea theme ;-)

But for me, donkeys are always so cute but so sad (because of Eyore in Winnie the Pooh). So they are a representation of human experience in a way...the spectrum of emotion, etc. Donkeys rock! Even if they are asses!

And Le Pain is awesome...there are a ton of them in the city. They have great bread.

And I am happy to motivate.
